Sonar chart of the seabed off the Bill - note the deep hole!

Tomorrow looks like giving a fast trip round the Bill and back, with rather a wet start admittedly, but in conditions forecast to improve during the day. The start is at 1030 from the club line, using VHF channel 9. HW Portland 1553 for whoever's doing the nav!

Talking of nav, the sonar charts on the Navionics Europe app give the best detail of the extraordinary geology of the seabed around the Bill. Just look at that deep hole to the west - here, no doubt, be monsters that could see off the giant squid of the Roches Douvres (in Victor Hugo's 'Toilers of the Sea' - a great read for your Channel Islands cruise next year)!

If you want any more information, or are looking to crew on a boat, send a message to Nick Frampton or me, or ring the club.
