Why become a member?

We can offer you ashore:

  • A professional run bar with a good selection of beers including guest ales.
  • Galley facilities with appetising food after sailing.
  • A clubhouse in one of the most picturesque locations on the south coast.
  • Free WiFi and computer points in the Clubroom.
  • An interactive club website.
  • Shower and changing room facilities.
  • A full social programme throughout the year.
  • Members’ discounts at local chandlers and other retail outlets.
  • RYA theory courses in navigation from Day Skipper to Yachtmaster Ocean at subsidised prices.

The Club welcomes new applications from people of any age and background and offers the following membership categories:

  • Joint/Family  - 2 adults plus children or grandchildren (age under 18) POA
  • Single - 1 adult plus children or grandchildren (age under 18) POA
  • Intermediate (age 22 to 29) POA
  • Youth (age 18 to 21) POA
  • Cadet (age 9 to 17) if not part of an adult membership POA

We do not charge an entrance fee when joining our Club for the first time !

From January 1st the subscription fee for new members reduces as follows:

  • The renewal date for memberships is the end of September
  • Joining in September costs an annual subscription and includes the following subscription year
  • The Club holds an Open Day in May

Parents of all under 18 year olds must complete a parental consent form if their children are to be allowed to participate unaccompanied by their parent or guardian in any club event.


Temporary Membership

We also offer the following temporary membership category:
  • Temporary Dinghy Sailor - per day, bring your own boat for racing, includes yard storage - Singlehander £10 - Doublehander £15
