Club members and friends enjoyed the first of WSC 'Wild Chef' Christian’s cookery evenings on Wednesday 25 October 2007.  They spent four hours in the kitchen with the top chef learning how to prepare a selection of dishes and tips to make cooking easier and more interesting.  At the end of the evening the group sat down to eat the food that they had prepared and to enjoy a well earned glass of wine.

The group went home delighted with Christian’s energetic coaching and enthusiastic to try out their new found skills.

Christian had bought a good selection of local provisions for the group to use in the evening’s menu. He was anxious to identify in which areas his pupils felt they needed assistance. He showed the group how to prepare a large selection of vegetables, many of which were unknown to the students; he prepared some easy sauces that could be used in all sorts of dishes; he cooked some tasty meals that could be cooked in minutes; he used chicken in several different ways; he showed the group what to look for in the fishmongers and many ways prepare and to cook fish, and finally he presented the dishes in an eye-catching way for the group to taste and enjoy.
