The Solo Offshore Racing Club (SORC) return to Weymouth this weekend, and will be having dinner at the club on Friday evening, before setting off on the sixth and final leg of their Channel Week on Saturday.
The event will have taken them across the Channel to St Malo, and back via Brixham and Weymouth (See http://www.offshoresolo.com for a report on the legs from the Solent to St Peter Port via Alderney).
SORC run a very full programme of races during the year, and recently raced up to Weymouth, the night before Round the Island, in strong winds and rain. Why do they do it? Drop in on Friday evening to chat and find out more about the joys and agonies of short-handed racing, or watch the start in the bay on Saturday morning.
