Thursday will witness the end of summer evening sailing this year.
The Squibs, however will be running a September series on a Thursday afternoon starting at 17:30.
Where the Squibs lead, others may follow, so depending on the success of this series, next year a similar format may be applied to other classes.
The photo of Ibis was taken on Monday evening when an overcast evening threatened by rain changed with a brilliant sunset, but with clouds building for the forecast downpour, the last rays of the sun lit the heavens, a fitting shot for the finale week, for another year.
There is the Saturday series of racing and fear not gentle reader, the Sunday series gets underway on the 4th which allows us to get out onto the water until New Years day, then there are the lift outs, prize giving, class dinners, lift ins and another year of racing ahead.
A full programme is being planned for next year, with the Olympics (we are promised) not expected to interfere with our efforts out on the water.
