The clubs starting hut, located at the landward end of the Stone Pier has stood stoically against the wind, weather and waves
providing in the past, shelter for race officers.
Due to the success of water based race management the old hut has become much less used and somewhat unloved.
The club may offer the hut (a large garden shed) to a club member, free of charge if it cannot be maintained in its current position.
With a strong south easterly, 40 knot winds and a 2 metre plus tide, the hut was photographed on Monday evening enduring another battering.
The start/finishing line transits will still be retained whatever the outcome.
