A new development this year has been the decision to install a pontoon on the outer row of moorings below the ferry, and on a sunny afternoon recently we watched the sections being towed down the harbour to be assembled by the crane and then moved into position.
The aim is to provide a more flexible approach to boat length on those moorings, as now boats will be outside the piles not between them: hopefully the pontoon itself will not be too flexible!
