Dinghy class race coaching before Easter? It must be 2012, the go-faster year!

No sooner have the keelboats vacated the yard than the dinghies are in there, rigging and launching for a weekend's coaching under the expert guidance of Adam Bowers.

In fine Spring weather with lightish winds, a number of keen dinghy sailors, including YOBs, took to the water on both days, practising the art of going faster, concentrating on boat-handling procedures at the start and at critical moments on the course. Debriefs in the clubroom afterwards on both days were lively and challenging as Adam got each participant to explore what changes they had observed in their own performance. A terrific start to the 2012 season, and a big 'thank you' to Adam, Adrian Patterson in 'Viking' and Euan McNair in the safety boat.
