Sunday 29th April witnessed the thank fully rare occurrence of Easterly gale force winds blowing straight up the river.
The clubs hard working moorings team had issued warnings before hand to mooring holders to check their moorings and ensure that all boats were well fendered and properly secured.
No one expected 50 knot plus winds and the incredible swell that moved up the River and caused damage including a dismasting.
