Kathy Claydon has been installed as the new club commodore.
Last Saturdays AGM witnessed Mark Bugler stand down after his three year stint as commodore being replaced by Kathy
Kathy owns Arcsine an Arcona 370 and is also the principle of Yachting Experiences. A fever-ant offshore sailor who competes regularly in JOG, she also has achieved an envieable amount of silverware competing in the Fastnet race.
Mark took the helm from Melita our first lady commodore, and now Kathy has taken the stick (or wheel in her case) to steer the club into its next Centenary.
Peter Hopford takes over as Hon. Gen secretary from She Taylor who was presented with a bouquet in recognition for her work for the club. Clive Brookman takes over as treasurer whilst Jane Buckle looks after the social secretaries position.
All other flag officer and secretaries jobs retained the same personnel.
Elected to the general committee were: Steve Dadd, Shaun Kerigan, Michelle Samways, Iain Jones, Nick Frampton and Euan MacNair.
The members were informed of another successful year financially for the club although the Olympics and poor weather had affected turnouts for club racing.
