Emma Stevenson, one of the Cadets has officially joined the Virtual Rigger Gul Race Team as an ambassador. Further information can be found on their website, www.v-rigger.com .
Emma, who won the Cadet of the Year for an unprecedented second time in a row(in modern times!), was invited to a trial day at the WPNSA last summer with other possible candidates for the role. Sailing in one of the most competitive dinghy classes(Laser Radial) Emma impressed the judges with her attitude and boat handling skills, earning her a place on the VR race team. Emma's first event of 2013 was the 40th Bloody Mary Pursuit where she finished an impressive 163rd out of 339 entries.
