Newsflash - Sailing Club Manager early launch
Most of you are probably aware by now that a number of club members have been working behind the scenes over the past few months to get a new WSC member portal up and running for the coming season. The new portal is using ‘Sailing Club Manager’.
Our volunteer coordinator had recently requested that members start to fill the volunteer slots for April 2024 via the programme on the current website. This was supposed to give us time to get the new portal ready for launch. However, due to an error with the import function between Halsail and the club website the racing programme along with these volunteer slots has been lost.
As a result, we have been forced to expedite the launch of the new SCM portal. If we don’t do this, we are in danger of having no race teams for the races beginning in early April.
Everyone with an email address in the system will receive an email from mail@scm.wsc.org.uk providing them with a link to set a password for logging into SCM. Please action this asap.
If you are a member without a valid email address recorded, then you will not receive the email. If you wish to be able to login to SCM and take advantage of the club portal then please let us know what email address you wish to use by contacting it@wsc.org.uk.
Once you have gained access to SCM locate the Duty Roster at https://scm.wsc.org.uk/roster and volunteer for a duty or two. Anyone who was kind enough to have already volunteered for the races in April will need to add themselves again. I can only apologise for this.
