Richard and Pat Groves Golden Anniversary
On Saturday 1st March Pat and Richard Groves celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary. They held a party at the Rivieria Hotel for around a 100 people, with old friends and family travelling from all over the country. The order of the evening was 'no presents', but donations were made to the Sea Cadets, RNLI or our own YOBs.
Richard retired to Weymouth and joined WSC after a career in the Navy and the Metropolitan Police. He has worked with the Sea Cadets on HMS Belfast in London and more recently in Weymouth. Richard will be well known to you for his work on the WSC rescue boat. Recently he has been a big supporter of the YOBs (Youths on Boats) with his grandchildren inheriting his love for the water. Best of luck to Pat and Richard for the next 50.
