Cruiser Class Dinner
Sixty two cruisers class members enjoyed a fun packed evening at the club on Saturday 8 March. Guest speaker was WSC club member Richard Butler. Richard was the skipper of Round the World Clipper 'Bristol' and also a class winner of the Fasnet Race in his Sigma 33.
The awards ceremony had such prestigious awards as the golden keel bolt, the platinum razor blade and a wet T shirt award. Ray Robinson was presented with a tin of mushy peas to help with his lack of wind, and Jeremy Parkinson was given a tourist guide of Beijing for his next cruising trip. The blind raffle contained prizes such as Quayside deck shoes, bottles of bubbly, Baileys, easter eggs and numerous sailing bits and bobs from sail repair kits to fog horns.
