The Club's annual Open Day will take place this year in conjunction with the Royal Yachting Association's 'Push The Boat Out' initiative:
http://www.rya.org.uk/programmes/pushtheboatout/Pages/default.aspx
Our Open Day is on Saturday 17th May from 10am to 4pm. Not only will there be an amnesty on joining fees for new members, there will even be the chance to try a free sail on a dinghy on the Saturday and on a keelboat on the Sunday!
RYA instructors will be on hand to tailor your training requirements to suit your needs, and the RNLI will be there to hand out Sea Safe literature and instruct you on how to inspect your lifejacket.
Club members including the Commodore and Officers will also be on hand to chat and answer any questions you may have about the club and its activities.
Existing boat owners who live close to Weymouth are also welcome; many do not realise what facilities the club has to offer and that our racing is free to enter.
The 'try a keelboat' sail will take place at 10:30am on Sunday 18th May: to book a sail just click on the "start sailing" link to the right on the home page of the club's website, and open up a new world of experience on the water!
