A 'Safari Supper' of course, so having dressed appropriately - black tie, posh tops and shorts, the diners set forward to take Pimms on C SEVEN, a starter of asparagus soup with a horseradish and creme fraiche topping with hot rolls were consumed on RUMRUNNER, whilst main course of lasagna, cream chicken new potatoes and coleslaw was devoured on EVISA. Having dispensed with savouries it was onto SAPPHIRE to enjoy treacle tart, chocolate fudge brownies, chocolate cake, rhubarb crumble and custard. The cheese board lovingly prepared that awaited us on SHANGANI was left untouched due to over expanded waist bands.
The Weymouth Lifeboat was toasted as it left on a shout; Alan Smith and Barry Curtis were toasted as they walked along the quayside; in fact everything and everyone that moved was toasted!
Everyone had a splendid evening and agreed to do it all again soon.
The group of Safari diners start their evening with cocktails on Weymouth Sailing Club roof terrace.
