Wild Child

YCW SPRING SERIES.

Sunday 6 April. While the rest of the country was covered in several inches of snow, WSC cruisers were racing the first race of the YCW Open Spring Series in brilliant sunshine.   Brisk northerly winds gave excellent racing to the eleven boats who ventured out in the cold and a window of good weather allowed them to complete the course in good conditions.  Results: IRC class 1st Wild Child helmed by Nick Sharp, 2nd Spindrift Bill Barker, 3rd Scoline Peter Hopford/Mike Jury.   Kevin and Kay Stibbs were racing their new Dehler Draig O’r Mor and Simba and Saskia VI completed the line-up. PY Class 1st Katrina helmed by Roy Shelley, 2nd Rumrunner with Steve Dadd, 3rd Chuckles Too.  Orion and Marquessa were also racing.
