End of Season Party
The main sailing season ending with a 1970's themed evening at the club. Guests were welcomed with a glass of Mateus Rose or Black Tower before sitting down to an appropriate meal that included prawn cocktail, Coq au vin and Black Forest gateaux. The opportunity was taken to model the clubs new line in branded clothing, before the evening's activities of space hopper racing and dancing to a 70's disco that had everybody on their feet.
This was the first opportunity to try out of the clubs newly-acquired equipment that the club is looking after for Stuart Riches crew member of Farr Out, while he is out of the country. Using the club's broadband connection music was streamed in via a laptop which enabled revellers to request any music they wanted to hear. A special mention should go to Josie Dadd and Sue Ives for organising the event, which was their last at the club, as their tenure of social secretaries comes to an end, Pete Barlow and his team for coming up with the menu and delivering a great meal, the waitressess, the game souls who took part in the space hopper racing and to Chris Hogg who acted as the DJ's runner searching out all the music to be played.
The new clothing range will be shown on Thursday evening from 18.00 hours at the Bonfire Party and after sailing on Sunday lunchtimes. You will be able to order items in plenty of time for Christmas presents - or why not buy yourself a treat.
