The club successfully hosted a day of Local Art at the Club, featuring our own members...
Nine artists displayed their work in the club room for the day, with a fantastic selection of pieces from some very talented members!
There was a selection of pieces ranging from some very impressive technical drawings to a myriad of painting styles, and crochet items. Some sales occurred and a few commissions were agreed for some new pieces!
Following on into the evening, there was the chance to try some new wine, possibly destined to be stocked by the bar, depending on feedback!
Ian from our wine supplier did a fantastic job of running the tasting session, with some clear favourites coming out on top. Massive thank you to him for being so generous with his time, and sharing his knowledge with us.
The West Country Cheese boards and Charcuterie boards complemented the wine beautifully!
The raffle raised £144 for club funds with some generous art work donated for some of the prizes.
All in all, a big thank you to all the artists that shared their artwork with us, and gave up their time to spend the day at the club. And thank you to everyone who came along on the day to support the Art Day and evening event.
