Cruising Evening
Members and friends enjoyed a sumptious feast at the club courtesy of Chez Barlow's to round off another annual cruising evening get together. Like a number of social function at the club, this is quite organic and has taken on a completly different form to what it was just five years ago. This event is a three dimensional experience, with laptops showing videos, the sound system playing traditional music (not Plastic Bertrand) whilst consuming escargot, oysters, moules, frites and fromages all washed down with some great wines and the chance to sit and chat with like minded explorers.

Gently hosted by Steve Fraser, he welcome some new faces, advised on some of the best equipment to take away and, along with Mark Bugler, opened a bucket load of oysters for the eager eaters. The evening was also the right environment to launch our very own Jeremy Parkinsons pilotage book. Jeremy has visited many of the ports, rivers and harbours on the Biscay coast and his thoroughly researched book are his labours of the past few years. Named "Atlantic France" and printed by Imrays this is the book to have if you venture around the corner from L'Aberwrac'h
